A retreat at Haa Retreat Center is a unique experience with specific conditions.

It is very important that you read all of the pages below before enrolling, so that you know what we teach, and do not expect to come for an ordinary "holiday course", or expect the retreat to be similar to anything you have experienced before.

Note especially these three conditions:

  • All classes and karma yoga periods are mandatory
  • Mobile phones, computers, and similar devices may not be used during the retreat
  • Full silence is kept during silent periods of the retreat

We reserve the right to dismiss, at any time during the retreat, any student who fails to adhere to these conditions or otherwise disturbs the retreat process.
We do not provide refunds after the start of the retreat for any reason.

Swami Ma Sita Savitri

Swami Ma Sita Savitri

Swami Ma Sita is originally from Iceland where she studied linguistics at the University of Reykjavik. Spontaneous experiences in her youth introduced her to the mystical path and she began searching for someone who could teach her genuine meditation. During her studies she practised yoga, but it was not until she moved to Denmark in 1982 that she found what she had been looking for. She attended courses at the Scandinavian Yoga and Meditation School and Swami Janakananda´s teaching.

Kaivalyamurti

Kaivalyamurti

Kaivalyamurti was born and raised in Ljungby in south Sweden. During his upbringing he lived an active life and did many sports, but by and by his focus shifted more to music.

Kaivalyamurti was inspired spontaneously to learn to meditate, and in the fall of 2013 he participated in his first course at the Scandinavian Yoga and Meditation School. After spending time as a participant in the school's different courses and retreats and as a volunteer at Håå Retreat Center, the desire to intensify the work with himself grew, and Kaivalyamurti moved into the ashram in Håå to begin the yoga teacher education.
